No nonsense, no gimmicks. Just true insights, and honest opinions on skincare and makeup. We simplify your decision making and help you figure out where to invest your time and money.
What We Are About
Noise and confusion is abundant in the beauty industry. We want to bring system to the chaos and guide your skincare and beauty journey. The constant new product launches, ten step routines and overwhelming influencer marketing create frustration. We respect your time, money, and most importantly your mental wellbeing.
Beauty the Style is not about selling you a lifestyle. We are not a brand. We want to help you discover what is best for your life, skin and routine. We do this by providing a skincare and beauty resource that prioritises your time, money and intelligence, without the lifestyle marketing.
We focus on skincare and beauty.
Meet the Editor
Cassidy is a doctor of physical therapy. She is not a brand consultant or influencer. She applies true clinical rigor to everything she does. She has the training to read and evaluate formulations.
Find me on LinkedInHer DPT from Thomas Jefferson University and her BS in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland meant she had something most beauty editors do not: the ability to examine a formulation and understand how it interacts with skin at the ingredient level. She is not interested in flashy packaging or celebrity endorsements. She is focused on the science.
She is critical of The Honest Company and what it means to hold products to a higher standard. She has probably spent more time than she would want to admit on the retinol versus retinal debate, while her two golden doodles couldn't care less, and her husband has learned to just nod along when she talks about how a new serum is a household essential.

"Cassidy is not going to tell you what to buy. She is going to help you make sense of it."
What We Cover
This also includes cleansers, serums, SPFs, and moisturizers. We look at the whole picture in terms of both the real world efficacy and the ingredients. We do the work for you based on skin type, age, and budget to customize your skincare routine — and tell you when the most expensive option is just not worth it. Ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, retinoids. We cut through the noise.
Browse Skincare →Makeup is very personal. What looks great on one person, may not work at all for another. There are so many variations in skin tone, texture, and preferences, and we don't limit ourselves to one vision. Foundations that don't oxidise by noon. Mascaras that hold up for the longest days. Brow products for arches that need a bit of extra TLC. Real products cut the shit and sugar coat nothing.
Browse Makeup →The Shop is just that — every recommended product to help organize. Curated collections of skin savers, makeup, supplements, and tools. Each product has a vital reason for its inclusion. We've written about, tested and fully believe in each product. No random product dumps. No filler. Just the good stuff with honest reasoning behind each item.

There's a ton of beauty content out there, written to get views, not to help people. Sponsored posts that don't disclose. Fake positive reviews for products they've never touched. We believe our readers deserve better.
We do participate in the Amazon Associates Program and do earn a commission on some products, and we are completely up front about that. But that has nothing to do with what we recommend. We have directed readers away from products we could have earned a commission on because they just weren't good enough and we're not about to change that.
Due to our rigorous clinical training, Cassidy's formulations remain unparalleled in the industry. We prioritize the contents of a product over the marketing surrounding the product, and we target consumers who live real lives outside of their skincare obsession and who have genuine needs, budgets, and skin issues.
We put the ingredients first. We inform brand narratives second. We inform on the science of the claims.
We earn commissions on certain links. It has never changed our recommendations.
With us, having good skin and good makeup does not need to come with a luxury budget.
No filters, no lighting tricks. Just honest testimonials from someone who has done the work.

Something that I really appreciate about this mascara is that it provides a natural but lifted effect. It‘s not super dramatic but
Snail mucin is everywhere, but most brands won't tell you the concentration—or whether it actually does what they claim.
